The ares.exe process is the primary component of the Ares Peer-to-peer File Sharing tool. It can be executed manually or can also be automatically initialized on Windows startup. The location of this file is in [C:\ program files \ Ares \ ares.exe].
Recommendation:
The ares.exe process is not a system critical process, but it should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems. Thus, make sure check the ares.exe process on your pc whether it is pest, as some malware disguise themselves as Ares.exe, particularly if they are located in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder.
