The CTMIX32.EXE process is the Creative soundcard System Tray access for volume slider controls as normally provided by the "speaker" icon.
Recommendation:
The CTMIX32.EXE process is not an essential file to the system performance. Disabling it or enabling it is down to the user's options.

An older sound mixer from Creative Labs (for the SoundBlaster PCI), but I like it.
Unlike the sounc controls provided by Microsoft, it takes up hardly ANY acreage on your desktop, so those working with sound who must constantly monitor/adjust settings, it\'s compact size and ease of use is perfect... and I always have BOTH playback and Recording controls open simultaneously and STILL have 95% of my screen clear for the project.
