The Core Temp.exe process is a part of Core Temp, which is temperature monitor program and lets you monitor CPU temperature using the DTS (Digital Thermal Sensor) on Intel Core/Core 2 and AMD Athlon64 series of CPUs. It also provides more accurate temperature reading than the standard thermal diode sensors and displays the temperature of each individual core in each processor.
Recommendation:
The Core Temp.exe process is a non-essential process to system performance. Disabing it or enabling it is down to user's options.
