This unwanted program is eating up my CPU. I don't have Firefox on my computer. I kill the application, and it comes back. I think it is related to a ClamAV download.

I agree. This application is not found in a program search, it must be hidden in the registry. Every time I kill it in "task manager" it comes right back. It has sister programs: "iehelper.exe" and "chromehelper.exe". How can if get it off my computer for ever and ever?

For "Firefoxhelper.exe" I found it in "C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\RHelpers". I changed the name and it I put it in to three un-named foldersone one insideb the other, inside another, and stopped the program in the "windows task manager" and then I deleted the files. It worked for me.

Solution proposed by scorpio seems to have fixed the problem. Highly recommended considering no other sites that I could find have offered solutions.
