Also own an Asus and also see that it's installed. No complaints at all from MalwareBytes, HitMan Pro nor Norton IS 2011. I am sure it's safe.

leave it be unless u dont use ur volume, brightness or other conol keys on ASUS laptop. Recently had to use my (OMG so glad i made em) backup discs to restore mine after thinking the ATK Package was all junk jumble files....i got 500GB of room on the HD....i didnt need the space.
