IDMcache.exe appeared as soon as I started the installer for CPUID Hardware Monitor Pro from a disreputable source. It was using 100% of the CPU and caused my PC to freeze when I tried to continue with the installation. It was located in a folder named Adobe in the Application Data folder. I deleted all the files and registry entries that had been made by the installer using Ashampoo Uninstaller.

(Win7 18th Aug 2013) - The command to run IDMCache.exe suddenly appeared in the registry in HKCU-\\*\\*\\*\\Run, along with reference to a *.bat file. Task manager has it as browser click watcher, and this \"appeared\" out of the blue just 2 days ago - I killed it and it made no difference to IDM\'s running. It was all seemingly controlled by adobe Flashplayer in the folder - C:\\Users\\***\\AppData\\Roaming\\Adobe\\Flash Player\\BrowserCache.. After booting each time, I watched it and Comodo FW picked it up as making remote contact even while no browser was running, so I killed the process in Task manager. I deleted the registry entry
