System Idle Process

The system idle process is a process which runs on the computer and displays how much idle time the CPU is having at any particular time. It runs when the computer system has no task to perform. Therefore the users generally find that the system idle process is running with extremely high CPU percentage. Actually, this is completely normal for a computer as it waits for something to do.

Recommendation:

system idle process should not be disabled, required for essential applications to work properly

unDeny		NOTE:- The "System Idle Process" is NOT A PROCESS actually using your CPU!! It is ONLY an Indicator on the Task Manager Window, of how much of the CPU USAGE IS FREE.. CTRL+ALT+DEL		This is an east one; if you open task manager all will be clear> CTRL+ALT+DEL This is the percentage of TIME your CPU is in IDLE state (not being utilised) therefore a high number is GOOD. 90+ if not much is open or running on your system. dont worry yourself about this "process" 0 0 Report Abuse
Technical Rich		Think of it like this; if it shows 90% cpu usage then only 10% of cpu is being actively utilized. Clue in the name; IDLE! how much of your cpu capacity is in Idle i.e not being used! My process manager shows system idle at 96% & cpu meter ( actually in use) at 4%. get it?? 1 0 Report Abuse
the best		it shuld be neat 90% plus (if your not using your pc. the higher this is the better it is only for this process though. mine is at 96% at the moment, when it gets 40% and below your computer is going to run slower, der... 0 0 Report Abuse
