avgtray.exe

The avgtray.exe process is a part of AVG Internet Security and displays an system tray icon for the security program. The tray icon provides easy access to your virus detector software AVG Security, which scans your computer for various viruses and trojans. The icon also gives the user a constant visual feedback on the current state of AVG (ie. antivirus definitions out of date, virus found, etc...). The avgtray.exe process will also appear in the computer startup software list. The avgtray.exe process is a safe file.

The avgtray.exe process is required by AVG Internet Security program and protects PC against Internet threats. It should not be disabled.
