Some Adware apps report this as a potential risk to be on system or as active. I've used for 4 years and so far any risk depends on the content that is chosen for download via flashget. Be mindful of what you use flashget to download. No problems experienced otherwise. Can siphon off bandwidth from connect speed, is controllable.
