Don't change the resolution from this (Use Display Properties instead)in the system tray because it will not revert back if the new resolution is not supported by thee monitor .I spent a whole day trying to fix it. The only way you can reverse it is to uninstall the display driver in Windows Safe Mode and let windows load its own driver and after restart you can install proper video driver again for your specific video card

This one is weird... I think there is a bad one that starts with igfx but I guess its not this one. Thanks fred for the info, this must have to do with the processor/graffics card...
