jqs.exe

The jqs.exe process is an executable file of the Java Quick Starter (JQS) for Java(TM) Platform SE 6 U5\r from Sun Microsystems, Inc. It is used to handle memory mangament and improves the initial startup time of Java applets and other java applications.

Recommendation:

The jqs.exe process is not an essential file to the computer system performance. Disabling it or enabling it is down to the user's options.

KnowOne		my browser executed an embedded jscript giving me the famous 'Open With' dialog on EVERY exe command. This was with AVG2010 Internet Security running and active. It stopped the process and quarantined the malware but after the damage was done. I've since disallowed ALL scripts under Firefox. This what John was talking about. 1 0 Report Abuse
