| The spoolsv.exe process is a main component of the printing interface for the Spooler SubSystem App or Windows Print Spooler Service. It is responsible for managing spooled print/fax jobs. It allows users to print in the background without PC being tied up and is also responsible for queuing printing tasks. If spoolsv.exe is not running, the Add Printer function will not work properly and no printers will be available. This spoolsv.exe is also extremely easily targeted by spyware & adware programs as well as worms and Trojans. The original program file will be found only in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. | spoolsv.exe is listed in 2 seperate locations besides system32. it is in I386 and servicepackfiles\\I386. Is this normal or is it a threat? | |||

| It's a system process. It sends the print data to the printer. If you uninstall or remove this you will not be able to print anything. You can disable it in services if you dont have a printer. | |||
